Robert Donald Fowler, Sr., 72 year-old resident of OKC, OK, passed away 10-11-2016. Born 9-21-1944 in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of Vernoy Robert Fowler and Lelia Marie (Turner) Fowler. He was a 1962 graduate of Shawnee High School, Shawnee, OK. Robert was an avionics specialist for B-52 and B-1 bombers for over 30 years at Tinker AFB. He had been TDY'd (Temporary Duty Assignment) to every S.A.C. base in the United States over that time period at some point. Robert was very proud to have been a caddy in the 1977 U....

Robert Donald Fowler, Sr., 72 year-old resident of OKC, OK, passed away 10-11-2016. Born 9-21-1944 in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of Vernoy Robert Fowler and Lelia Marie (Turner) Fowler. He was a 1962 graduate of Shawnee High School, Shawnee, OK. Robert was an avionics specialist for B-52 and B-1 bombers for over 30 years at Tinker AFB. He had been TDY'd (Temporary Duty Assignment) to every S.A.C. base in the United States over that time period at some point. Robert was very proud to have been a caddy in the 1977 U. S. Open at Southern Hills in Tulsa, OK. He loved hunting pheasants, elk, and deer; Fishing; Golfing; and was an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys football fan. Robert was one of the few hunters to hunt and kill an elk in the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Katie Fowler, 1 brother, Mike Fowler, and 1 sister, Deena Mae Fowler. Survivors include 2 sons, Robert D. Fowler, Jr. of OKC, OK; and Scott Allen Fowler and his wife Angela of OKC, OK; 2 sisters, Mary Anderson of Seminole, OK; and Laura Kisaoglu of Lake Worth, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life and viewing will be held at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home Event Center, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK from 2-5 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016.
